"On June 30 I hit a deer with my 2021 Toyota Highlander. The State Farm app was very responsive at the time of the incident. Within minutes I had filed my claim and even scheduled an appointment with one of their "preferred" shops, Calliber Collision in Lebanon, TN. I took my car to Calliber on July 26. 2024. On September 26, Calliber STILL had not completed the repairs correctly. At one point, they claimed it was completed, I drove out of the parking lot to discover an A/C unit that didn't work at all. (I had kept Jeff Gannon's office in the loop on how long it was taking to make the repairs.) On September 26, I called claims at State Farm and asked them to step in and get involved. I was so sure that my car was fixed correctly, that I asked State Farm to pay for a second opinion. After fighting with them for about 1 week, they agree that I could take the car to a Toyota dealership, but they wouldn't pay for any diagnostics if no issues were found. I agreed. Took car on Oct. 29 and within one day many issues were found. (hose from the airbox is missing, the lower engine cover is the wrong one and does not line up with the vehicle correctly. This causes a significant issue as there is a safety recall for the lower bumper that can not be performed, also found the front wheel pads are missing). State Farm went out on Nov. 5. Since that day, SF randomly closed the claim, which I had to caught. They have denied coverage claiming the Toyota was lying about needed repairs. They have tried to charge me a second deductible. They sent a check to only partially cover the repairs and sent it to the wrong address. (They have my home-owers insurance.) As of yesterday, Jeff argued that SF will NOT pay for the full repairs. From July 26-Nov 15 I have been without my car. I have had to call claims about every other day for the past two months to keep CLAIMS correct. Then I would have to email Jeff's office because they didn't know what claims was doing or not doing. Still, the party line is "not our fault, we aren't going to pay if we're not sure if it's needed." Why do we pay insurance companies? Isn't is SF's job to investigate, to get to the bottom of the repairs and to look out for MY best interest. I asked Jeff if Calliber Collision had been removed as a "prefered" shop. He didn't answer. I will be changing insurance companies immediately."
"Katie, I understand your frustration as I think most people would agree the time frame and experience you had with the original repair facility is unacceptable. I also understand after choosing a shop that State Farm has listed as a Select Service provider which is designed to make the claim process smoother and give some guarantees on the work provided has failed you to date. You should not be expected to deal with corrective repairs after you pick your vehicle up and we know this has been frustrating. It would be for me as well. Unfortunately, the dealership you have chosen for the corrective repairs has also included several items that they agree should not have made the corrective repair list and this is adding to the frustration. The shop has met with State Farm field adjusters and understand the need to correct their corrective repair estimate. State Farm as with all insurance companies unfortunately do not repair vehicles but instead cut checks for repairs that we expect to be completed properly. In your case there were multiple items that needed to be addressed, and all of the items noted to date were sublet mechanical items. The State Farm field adjuster also found another issue with the AC that we have asked the dealership to review as part of the corrective repairs that they missed. I know if feels like it has been a fight, but I do believe State Farm has the correct intentions or we would not have asked the corrective shop to address an issue that neither shop had brought up. I apologize on behalf of our office and everyone involved in your claim and understand your desire to do business elsewhere. We will continue to see the claim through completion and are glad to help see that all issues are addressed by our claims team and management if needed. Sincerely Jeff Gannon"

"Love the fast service getting me better coverage with lower rates then what I was paying previously. For about the same cost I got life insurance and car insurance.
